Las Chicas Bakery/Cafes of Northern New Jersey was founded by the collaborative efforts of three siblings - Daniel, Gabriel, and Cristina. Having emigrated from Uruguay at a young age, we always felt as though we were missing something very important to us, that being our food and our culture.

Our parents passed ontheir passion for traditional Uruguayan and Armenian cusine to us, and we knew there was a je nais se quois that we just had to share and pass on. So with unwavering passion and dedication, we embarked on a mission to recreate the essence of our roots through the art of baking.. Our dream was born...

It was through many years of hard work and dedication that we were able to turn our passion into a business venture, and our first bakery / cafe was born in 2004. Our goal was to create a warm and welcoming social outlet that brings people together over delicious foods and drinks, where people can enjoy the simple pleasures of life. And we’re pleased to announce, mission accomplished!

Since then, we've expanded to three locations, but our philosophy remains the same: good food, good vibes, and great memories. Our passion for baking and dedication to using high-quality ingredients shines through in every bite of our signature treats, including bizcochos, alfajores, and milanesa.
